Stem Incubators is running an ongoing program alongside Kingston City Council, as a continuation of the IBM AI project. The outcome is to produce an app that helps track the best-before-date on grocery items, in an attempt to reduce food waste. The main components that the participants focus on are: marketing, designing the user interface, and coding the AI modules for the application. We aim to roll this out by early 2023 to the general public. Additionally, a few participants went to a primary school in Casey, to explain the journey and purpose of the application.
